Arriving in Puerto Vallarta the day our friends Scott & Colleen, Mike & Terra, Karen & Albert, Mairead, Maura and Allison were due to arrive allowed us to find a good place to camp. We ended up staying at the Trailer Park Puerto Vallarta, which was void of people and replete with mosquitos. We met the crew in Conchas Chinas, just south of Puerto Vallarta Centro along a hill facing the ocean the next day at noon. Seeing our Seattle friends was great; everyone was stoked to be in Mexico and we were so happy to be around them. We went out to the Cabana Club to celebrate several birthdays which ended up being right in time for Eric’s on May 11. We hung out at the beautiful place our friends had rented, the Villa Quinta Del Sol, hiked to the beach and ventured up to Sayulita for a day. Team “Congratulato” was on fire with Charades sessions and all sorts of games. Everyone was given nicknames which you will notice when looking at the pictures. For example, Eric was named “Surfeador” and Sarah was “Jan”. The staff at the house was super friendly and concocted some delicious meals in HEAPING volumes. Bruce was stoked to see his pack from home, but he made special friends with the cook (see HEAPING food volume above) who thought his hanging out in the kitchen was a sign that he was hungry. We were sad to see everyone go but enjoyed every minute of our time together. After dropping Scott and Colleen off at the airport we were immediately left with a sad and empty feeling, so we headed back to Sayulita to use the internet to call our families for Mother’s Day and finish this here website.

From here, we will head south for a while along the coast until we feel the urge to do another inland journey. We are going to have some family members coming to join us at various points this summer so if any of you have time and would like to meet up please drop us a line. Until then, wish us luck and we hope you are all having your own adventures in your various parts of the world.

Paz esta contigo,
Sarah, Eric & Bruce
